What is Functional Fitness?
Functional Fitness is a type of fitness designed to improve your overall health. It focuses on strength, cardio, and flexibility.
Do I need to be fit to start doing Functional Fitness?
No, you do not need to be fit to start! Functional Fitness is designed for anybody and everybody. Every workout can be adjusted to meet your capabilities. Simply ask your coach how to scale the classes to your needs.
Why is RND Fitness more expensive than a normal gym?
At RND Fitness we offer a hands-on approach to fitness that a normal gym does not. Every class has a dedicated coach to teach you and ensure you are working out in the safest way possible. Also, programming is provided so you don't have to find or pay for your own. When compared to the price of a personal trainer, RND Fitness is very inexpensive! See our membership pricing!
I've never done Functional Fitness before, how do I get started?
First, we'll get you started in our Intro Class with one of our coaches. In the Intro Class, the coach will go over the standard movements to ensure you know how to do everything in the safest way possible. This class typically takes 2-3 hours and is a private or small group class. Don't worry if you don't remember everything, our coaches will be in all your classes too so they can help you along the way.
What if I can't do the recommended workout?
Every aspect of our classes can be adjusted for your needs. If the weight is too heavy, use a lighter weight. If you can't do the number of repetitions, do fewer reps. If you can't do a specific movement do a scaled version. Ask our coaches how to scale any exercise/workout!
